Tattoo Aftercare:

a. First, wash your hands thoroughly with mild soap and water and dry your hands with clean paper towels. No cloth towels!
b. The dressing may be removed after approximately 4 hours.
c. Using warm water, a mild soap and gentle technique carefully cleanse the tattoo area, do not scrub.

d. Using a sterile gauze or dressing, gently pat the area dry. Do not rub. Do not use a cloth towel.
e. After a few days, gently and lightly apply a sanitary, gentle, mild skin lotion to the tattoo, do not leave excess lotion on the skin. Do not use any lotions or oily applications or petroleum jelly on the tattoo.

f. Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo during the healing period, allow scab material to fall off naturally (usually in 4-7 days).
g. If there is any reason to suspect an infection of the tattoo or its surrounding area, immediately seek medical attention!
h. Avoid soaking the tattoo in pools, spas, Jacuzzis, hot tubs, beach water, baths, etc.
i. Avoid direct sunlight, after healing use sunscreen on the tattoo if sun

exposure is expected.

 

Dermal Adhesive Bandage Directions for Use:

Gently clean and pat dry the tattoo and surrounding area, ensuring there is no soap or any residue on the skin. With clean gloves, remove Derm Shield from the sterile pouch. Cut the Derm Shield to cover tattooed area plus a 1 to 2 inch margin from the edge of the tattoo. Peel off backing to expose adhesive side and position the Derm Shield over the tattoo with the adhesive side facing the skin. Gently apply using light pressure, starting from the center to the edges to eliminate air bubbles. Do not stretch the Derm Shield during application.

The first Derm Shield application should stay in place for 24 hours, depending on level of exudation. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.

A second application can be used for several days, and a third application may be used if necessary. Gently clean and dry the area between applications. Do not wear any piece longer than one week.

Directions for Removal:
Gently peel the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards.
